Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
TSIX Academy, a company registered in the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide how and why your data is processed.
2. What we collect
- Contact details — your name and email address when you enquire or enrol;
- Background information you choose to share — your current role, finance experience and messages;
- Usage and technical data — device identifiers, IP address and how you use our site;
- Support messages — anything you send us when you get in touch.
Payment details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — we never see or store your card details.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
- To provide the course and manage your enrolment — performance of our contract with you;
- To respond to enquiries and provide support — legitimate interests;
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud — legitimate interests;
- To improve our content and website — legitimate interests;
- To meet legal and tax obligations — legal obligation;
- Marketing updates, where you have asked for them — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics and support tooling);
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the course, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers;
- Authorities, where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, enrolment records are kept while you are a student and for the period required by tax and accounting law. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We respond to requests within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption and access controls — to protect your personal data.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work. We do not use marketing cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Contact
To exercise your rights or ask a question about this notice, contact us via the enquiry form on our homepage.
